Project detail:

The Forum for Research, called "Trentino Research Habitat", was established by the Autonomous Province of Trento in April 2019. It is a significant moment during which, starting from an analysis of the state of the art of Trentino research, the best development trajectories for the coming years will be identified.
The centerpiece of the Forum is a working group of 51 members identified from among the best national and international experts on scientific research, technology transfer, and market trends.

GOAL
The DRLab was commissioned to produce infographics - related to the debate held on May 1, 2019, see Forum timeline - that in a concise manner and with the help of visual aids, can clearly and effectively expose the contents of the debate.

PROCEDURE
APROCCIO: qualitative
METHOD: empirical
CRITERION: analysis and evaluation of the treatment of topics
According to li relationship between development and relevance perceived in listening phase
DESIGN PRACTICE:
- Exploratory, divergent phase: Context analysis;
- Exploratory, divergent phase: Listening, data collection and reasoned visualization;
- Exploratory, divergent phase: Conceptual mapping and pretypes;
- Definition phase, convergent: Sense-making, clustering and identification of the guiding principles of the paper;
- Definition phase, convergent: Concept conception and elaboration;
- Developmental, divergent phase: Identification of design hypotheses;
- Implementation phase, convergent: Design choice and implementation.

RESULTS
The design practice adopted allowed the identification of an ordered reading of the discourse according to 6 macroareas. The macro-areas constitute a set of components and, in addition to being introduced by this table, close with them "summary framework," which summarizes their contents, for a total of 8 tables that can be viewed either consecutively (recommended) or individually (stand-alone). The understanding of the contents of each macro-area can be deepened through sub-topics that run along a marked black line which divides the between belonging to "critical issues" or "future developments." The central, black, marked line conceptually represents the "thread of discourse" of the entire table and highlights its progression according to how the sub-topics make the line tend into the space of criticalities rather than that of possible developments. The greater the development and consistency of a topic in the discussion, the more obvious the shift of the line in its correspondence.
