Design experience:
With the Education Reform, the so-called "Good School," with the introduction of the compulsory School-Work Alternation -ASL- and the Apprenticeship Reform, the transformation of the educational and training system has been initiated in Italy, in order to arrive at the definition of a "dual system" model that aligns us with other European countries, in which work is recognized as a "necessary and indispensable educational experience" to form the human capital of the future. In particular, in the Trentino system, 400 hours in technical and vocational institutes and 200 hours in high schools represent an innovative teaching format in the consideration that overcoming the division between theory and practice in study paths cannot be immediate, but is urgent and necessary.
This goal is among the medium- to long-term goals and can only be achieved through new organizational efforts and design practices. The DRLab proposed to introduce the design culture of Service Design in the different units and teams of managers in charge of the smooth functioning of the ASL, thus enabling all stakeholders to be protagonists in its complex ecosystem.
