PILOT PROJECTS

Activities that aim to test the validity of a project idea and introduce the culture of service design.

Activation of pilot projects with the aim of testing the development of a project idea in a real environment and with a human-centered approach before scaling the solution on the entire system.

Pilot projects are more effective if preceded by activities foreseen in the "training" and "services" section.

Pilot projects can be preparatory and / or integrated into "research and development" activities.

DETAILS

A pilot project aims to test the validity of a project idea. It can differ from the "prototype" and the "proof of concept" in that the activities are oriented to test the development of the project idea in a real environment before considering how to scale the solution on the entire system.
According to the activities of the DRLab, in compliance with its mission, this type of offer will also be oriented to create pilot contexts where service design will be introduced as a design discipline. This action will be introduced through the "Transfer Through Design" framework. For this reason, the activities proposed in the offer relating to "services" and "training" are considered as preparatory for the introduction of design practices in service design in pilot design contexts.
