A series of meetings dedicated to the figure of the architect, to the concrete everyday life of his profession, to tell about its approaches, issues, challenges and opportunities. Once a month, a firm operating in nearby "provincial" territories will be our guest to share their work, from thought to construction site. What contribution can we make to the territory and society, the environment and the economy, today?

 

The cycle is offered in the context of the collaboration between the Order of Architects, the University of Trento (DRLab) and S. Chiara Cultural Services Center on the Cultural and Creative Enterprises Project - macroarea Architecture and Design.

Franco Tagliabue Volonté and Ida Origgi are named Italian Architect of the Year 2021

They graduate from Milan Polytechnic University where FTV teaches Architectural Design.

They founded the ifdesign studio, active between Milan and Bellagio, which won numerous awards, including the first Ecola Award in Berlin, the CID in Chicago and the Magistri Comacini Award in Como, as well as the Honourable Mention of the Jury at the

European Prize for Urban Public Space of the CCCB in Barcelona. He was invited to the "2009 Shenzhen/Hong Kong Biennale for Urbanism and Architecture" on the theme of public space and has participated in multiple editions of the Venice Biennale. He has been nominated several times for the Barcelona Mies van der Rohe Prize (2011, 2017, 2022).

And author of, among others, the Wigglyhouse project, the Noivoiloro civic center in Erba and the landscape redevelopment project of the Sormano Wall. FTV has been a lecturer and visiting professor at several international universities and has been called several times to represent the new Italian architecture in the most important exhibitions. FTV is the author of books, articles and essays, including "per forma," "Lo Spazio Sociale" The Laboratories and Socio-Educational Center project is the winner of the National Mention at the Inarch 2021 Award.
